Course: Adjuvant Therapy in Recurrent High-Risk Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Advancing Multidisciplinary Decision-Making

CME Credits: 0.25

Released: 2026-09-11

Recurrent cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) can create complex decisions regarding treatment sequencing and selection, particularly when recurrence occurs soon after initial surgery and involves multifocal or aggressive features. This online, on-demand CME/CE activity—part of the six-part series Mock Tumor Board: Advancing Multidisciplinary Decision-Making in Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma—presents an interactive mock tumor board case of a patient with recurrent, high-risk cSCC of the left temple. Throughout the discussion, expert faculty examine multidisciplinary decision-making around re-excision, radiation, and systemic immunotherapy, including considerations for neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment. They also discuss the importance of imaging and pathologic assessment in surgical planning, risk stratification frameworks for high-risk disease, and the evolving role of postoperative anti–PD-1 therapy in patients with features associated with increased risk of recurrence. The content for this enduring activity was recorded on August 10, 2026.
